This time he's more prepared for her sudden hug. He laughs and pats her head until she lets him go to investigate her new things. It's with a quiet anxiety that he watches her. Buying her gifts had been a task in itself, and he hadn't been sure if there was a point that it became too much. Was there a point he should have stopped buying for her? Or as a responsible adult, should he have bought more? It was impossible for him to tell.
"All for you," he tells her with a wave emphasising his certainty. Putting his hands on his hips, he gives her a lopsided smile. "If it's too clean I'm sure you could dirty it." He hesitates. "Maybe… not too quickly."
